Privacy policy

This policy applies to joesplace.ch. We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP / nDSG, in force since 1 September 2023) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

2. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and object to processing based on our overriding interest. In Switzerland you may complain to the FDPIC (EDÖB). EU residents may also contact their supervisory authority.

3. Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by cyon GmbH, Brunngässlein 12, 4052 Basel, Switzerland. Access generates server logs (IP address, time, resource, referrer, browser/OS) for stability and security. Retention is usually a few days, longer only if an incident must be clarified.

4. Essential storage

We store language preference (if set) and your cookie choice in your browser.

5. Email, phone, WhatsApp

There is no contact form on our server and no Salesforce submission. Direct booking runs via Smoobu (next section). WhatsApp is provided by Meta; their rules apply once you open the chat.

6. Direct booking via Smoobu

Availability, rates and bookings are handled by Smoobu GmbH, Berlin, Germany (booking.smoobu.com, apartment ID 891613), to prepare and perform the contract. Cookies may be set inside the iframe. Policy: smoobu.com privacy.

7. Google Analytics 4

Loaded only with consent (measurement ID G-LW4GVWTRD0, Google Ireland Limited). Data may be transferred to the USA. You can withdraw consent via Cookie settings.

7. Google Maps

The map loads only after consent or “Load map”. Google may process your IP address and set cookies.

8. Fonts

Fonts are hosted on our Swiss server. We do not call Google Fonts.

9. No ads or remarketing on this site

No Google Ads conversion tracking, AdSense, remarketing pixels or Jetpack.

10. AI content

Some texts and images may have been created with the help of artificial intelligence. This website does not send extra personal data to AI providers.

11. Recipients

cyon (Switzerland); Google (Analytics/Maps, consent only); Meta/WhatsApp if you use that service. The former EU-US Privacy Shield is not relied upon.

12. Status

This policy replaces the previous version (Privacy Shield, Jetpack, Salesforce form, AdSense, remarketing). August 2026.
